Charité Research Organisation’s experience in neurology covers a number of key indications. Most notably CRO has completed many First Time in Human, Phase I and POC studies in MS. This includes studies in both RRMS and progressive forms of MS. For example, First Time in Human studies have been conducted directly in PMS patients, while Phase I studies have been performed in RRMS patients. All of these studies have been completed with a single-centre approach, with all patients enrolled at the CRO Phase I unit.
Collaboration with the Charité Neurology Departments, the MS out-patient clinic of the Jewish Hospital in Berlin and Neuroradiology Departments greatly assist this work. In addition, early clinical studies in a range of other indications such as Parkinson’s are also possible. Collaboration with the Charité Neurology Departments also facilitates access to a broader range of diagnostic methodologies, such as Transcranial Doppler.
