Charité Research Organisation undertakes a wide variety of nutritional intervention studies. These cover a range of ‘health claims’ areas, including cardiovascular health, immunology, digestive health, skin health, bone health, physical / mental performance and others. Furthermore, CRO is undertaking safety studies for new ingredients and products.
All of CRO’s nutritional intervention studies are performed to the same standards and adherence to ICH-GCP as traditional studies with pharmaceuticals. The studies benefit enormously from CRO’s ability to recruit, screen and enrol huge numbers of subjects in a short space of time. They also benefit from CRO’s multiple Charité collaborations and ability to employ sensitive diagnostic technologies and laboratory biomarkers to address effects and underlying mechanisms of action.
